Kenneling
Most pets require one upfront night, or more, in a boarding environment, as we finalise a flight that is available or permitted to fly abroad due to quarantine restrictions. The cattery and kenneling facilities we utilise are state-of-the-art and have been updated and refitted to meet world-class standards.
We interview the owners or custodians of the pets to evaluate their requirements and submit a checklist to see how travel-ready the pets are in terms of qualifying for intercontinental travel and how well they will adjust to being received at their destination and new home environment.
Documentation
As with people who travel, certain compliance documentation is required. Countries’ requirements differ and so do the policies for each species. Exotic pets also have certain certificate requirements.
All pets require a microchip that is approved and valid for reprogramming with a new GPS and relevant details to trace the owner and home. Generally, a latest 90-day blood test has to be provided along with up-to-date inoculations against rabies and 4 other diseases. The owner has to produce all the required microchip details, their vaccination log and the tray certificates approved by a state vet.
Customs
Customs evaluates the conditions and entry for the import and export of domestic pets.
We have an in-house business unit that liaises with administration on forwarding and clearing exports and imports of most commodities and consignments.
State Vet Check
State Vet (health check inoculations) are mandatory. Pets need a clean bill of health as with people, your pets need approval provided by a State Vet Certificate. In most cases this can be channeled through your approved local vet.
Travel Container
Our travel containers are ISO approved for all sizes and forms of pet, with selected specifications for particular requests. These are advised by our pet business unit and coordinated from collection through to departure.
